Success in the US to continue with the opening of a New York office.

The need to use every square foot in this megacity as efficiently as possible acquires deep-laden symbolism when Evoko Unlimited AB opens its first local office in the US. The Evoko Room Manager is a room-booking solution that uses touch-sensitive displays outside of meeting rooms to guarantee correct bookings, and thus contribute to efficient room use. This Swedish innovation, which clearly displays the booking status of the meeting room at the door, first came to attention in the US in 2011, at InfoComm in Las Vegas. The elegant Scandinavian design of the product has won several prestigious international prizes, and the system is today marketed in several parts of the US and in Canada.

The first occupier of the New York office will be Keith Schainholz, himself from New York, who has been appointed National Sales Manager.

“There is already a heavy demand for the Evoko Room Manager in the US. Opening the New York office, in collaboration with our parent company SMS Smart Media Solutions, is a natural step following successful customer events in New York in April and Dallas in October”, says Dan Berglund, CEO of SMS Smart Media Solutions.

The Evoko Room Manager is already marketed in the northern and eastern states of the US by DMJ Technologies. A new partner, Mizzen Marketing, will join the team, with the task of leading the expansion in the western and southern US. The initial states in focus are Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas. The product is distributed in Canada by DataVisual Marketing Inc.

In parallel with the opening of the New York office, Richard Glückman has been appointed General Manager of Evoko Unlimited AB. Richard has been working for the past two years in one of the leading risk capital brokers in the Nordic region.


Easy-to-use sophistication

The Evoko Room Manager offers unique advanced features such as the possibility of automatically cancelling bookings that are not taken up, but it is amazingly easy to use. It is possible to make bookings in Outlook, Google Calendar or MS 365, just as you want. It is also possible to make spontaneous bookings directly on the touch-sensitive displays. The installation is as easy as adding a new employee to the in-house network.


Design awards

The Evoko Room Manager has won several prestigious design awards, including the IF Design Prize in 2010 and the Good Design Award in 2011. The latter is considered to be the most influential design prize in the world, and is awarded by American architecture and design museum The Chicago Athenaeum, in collaboration with The European Centre for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies.
